Select copra maintain bullish trend

Copra office Alappuzha and Copra office Kozhikode continued its bullish trend for the fourth straight session at the spices market here today on rising demand by stockists and retailers as well as sustained export offtake.

All other spices ruled steady in the absence of necessary buying activity.

Copra office Alappuzha and copra office Kozhikode surged by Rs 200 per quintal each to Rs 8,300 and Rs 8,200 from Thursday's closing level of Rs 8,100 and Rs 8,000 respectively.

Following are today's closing rates (in Rs with previous rates in brackets):

Black pepper (per kg) 700/770 (700/770), ginger bleached (per kg) 135 (135), ginger unbleached (per kg) 155 (155), copra office Alappuzha (per quintal) 8,300 (8,100), copra office Kozhikode (per quintal) 8,100 (8,000), copra Rajapur Mumbai (per quintal) 10,000 (10,000), copra edible Mumbai (per quintal) 9,500 (9,500).
