Select copra prices surge on rising demand

Copra office Alapuzha, copra office Kozhikode and copra Rajapur prices surged at the spices market here today on rising demand from stockist and millers amidst good retail offtake.

Meanwhile, copra edible prices declined on subdued demand from stockists and retailers.

Rest of the spices maintained a stable trend in the absence of any worthwhile trading.

Copra Rajapur Mumbai and copra office Kozhikode prices shot-up by Rs 100 per quintal each to Rs 6,400 and Rs 4,925 from last Saturday's closing level of Rs 6,300 and Rs 4,825.

Copra office Alapuzha climbed by Rs 75 per quintal to Rs 5,000 from Rs 4,925.
 

However, copra edible Mumbai fell by Rs 50 per quintal to Rs 5,850 as compared to Rs 5,900 previously.
