Select copra prices weaken on poor demand

Copra Alapuzha, copra office Kozhikode and Copra edible Mumbai weakened further at the spices market here due to lower demand from stockists and retailers amid subdued export offtake.

All other spices ruled steady in the absence of any major buying activity.

Copra office Alapuzha and copra edible Mumbai fell by Rs 100 per quintal each to Rs 6,700 and Rs 8,200 from Wednesday's closing level of Rs 6,800 and Rs 8,300, respectively.

Copra office Kozhikode dropped by Rs 200 per quintal to Rs 6,500 from overnight closing level of Rs 6,700.
