Select copra rebounds on renewed demand

Both copra office Alapuzha and Kozhikode prices rebounded at the spices market here on renewed demand from local millers amidst tight supply from producing belts.

Meanwhile, rest all spices continued its stable trend owing to lack of buying support.

Copra office Alapuzha and copra office Kozhikode rose by Rs 100 per quintal each at Rs 9,500 and Rs 9,300 respectively, as against Rs 9,400 and Rs 9,200 yesterday.

Following are today's closing rates (in Rs with previous rates in brackets):

Black pepper (per kg) 621/721 (621/721), ginger bleached (per kg) 220 (220), ginger unbleached (per kg) 240 (240), copra office Alapuzha (per quintal) 9,500 (9,400), copra office Kozhikode (per quintal) 9,300 (9,200), copra Rajapur Mumbai (per quintal) 16,500 (16,500), copra edible Mumbai (per quintal) 11,800 (11,800).
