Select copra recovers on fresh demand

Select copra recovered at the spices market here today due to fresh demand from stockist and retailers amidst higher export offtake.

While, copra office Alapuzha fell on reduced demand from millers and bulk consumers.

Rest of the spices ruled stable in the absence of any worthwhile buying.

Copra Rajapur and copra edible prices climbed by Rs 100 per quintal each to Rs 9,700 and Rs 9,000 from Tuesday's closing level of Rs 9,600 and Rs 8,900.

However, copra office Alapuzha declined by Rs 100 per quintal to Rs 8,100 as against Rs 8,200 previously.

Black pepper (per kg) 530/575 (530/575), ginger bleached (per kg) 205 (205), ginger unbleached (per kg) 215 (215), copra office Alapuzha (per quintal) 8,100 (8,200), copra office Kozhikode (per quintal) 8,100 (8,100), copra Rajapur Mumbai (per quintal) 9,700 (9,600), Copra edible Mumbai (per quintal) 9,000 (8,900).
