Select copra surge on steady demand

Copra office Alapuzha and copra office Kozhikode prices surged at the spices market here today due to steady demand from stockists and retailers amidst higher millers offtake.

Elsewhere, Copra Rajapur prices recovered on renewed demand from retailers.

While copra edible, back pepper and ginger ruled stable in the absence of any worthwhile buying activity.

Copra Rajapur and copra office Alapuzha prices shot up by Rs 500 per quintal each to Rs 14,500 and Rs 10,600 from previous closing level of Rs 14,000 and Rs 10,100.

Copra office Kozhikode climbed by Rs 300 per quintal to Rs 10,400 as against Rs 10,100 previously.
