Select edible oil prices firmed up by Rs 50 per quintal at the wholesale oils and oilseeds market today on fresh buying by vanaspati millers and retailers.
However, non-edible oils held steady in thin trade.
Traders said besides pick up in demand from vanaspati millers and retailers, restricted supplies from producing belts mainly attributed the rise in select edible oil prices.

In the national capital, palmolein (rbd) and palmolein (Kandla) oils rose by Rs 50 each to Rs 5,350 and Rs 5,300, while crude palm oil (ex-kandla) traded higher by a similar margin to Rs 4,150 per quintal, respectively.
Soyabean refined mill delivery (Indore) and soyabean degum (Kandla) oils also moved up by Rs 50 each to Rs 6,450 and Rs 6,150 per quintal, respectively.

Edible oils: Groundnut Mill Delivery (Gujarat) Rs 9,150, Groundnut Solvent Refined (per tin) Rs 1,700-1,800, Mustard expeller (Dadri) Rs 8,400, Mustard Pakki Ghani (per tin) Rs 1,350-1,400, Mustard Kachi Ghani (per tin) Rs 1,400-1,500, Sesame Mill delivery Rs 6,800, Soyabean Refined Mill Delivery (Indore) Rs 6,450, Soyabean Degum (Kandla) Rs 6,150, Crude Palm Oil (Ex-Kandla) Rs 4,150, Cotton seed Mill Delivery (Haryana) Rs 5,700, Palmolein (RBD) Rs 5,350, Palmolein (Kandla) Rs 5,300 and Coconut (per tin) Rs 1,850-1,900.
