Select foodgrains notch up gains at wholesale market

Prices of moong dal, sugar, wheat and maida moved up while rest of the commodities ruled steady in the wholesale foodgrain market here today.

Moong dal and wheat rates rose by Rs 200 and Rs 300 per quintal each to Rs 10,000 and Rs 3,000, respectively.

Sugar firmed up Rs 80 per quintal to Rs 2,780 from Rs 2,700.

In addition, maida (90 kg) gained Rs 100 to Rs 2,500.

Following are the wholesale rates of various agri commodities (in Rs per quintal, except stated otherwise): Thoor dal Rs 9,800, Urad dal Rs 9,000, Moong dal Rs 10,000, Gram dal Rs 5,000, sugar Rs 2,780, wheat Rs 3,000 maida (90 kg) Rs 2,500 and sooji (90 kg) Rs 3,000.
