Freight rates for nine-tonne pay load section for some centres weakened by Rs 1,000 at the local truck transport market in the national capital today following excess position of trucks.
Transporters said surplus position of trucks against restricted cargo movements, mainly led to fall in freight rates for select destinations.
Delhi to Chennai, Coimbatore and Hyderabad freight rates dropped by Rs 1,000 each at Rs 60,000, Rs 67,000 and Rs 51,000.
Rates to Vijaywada and Patna freights also moved down by Rs 1,000 each at Rs 53,000 and Rs 25,000.
