Firm conditions prevailed at the wholesale grains market in the national capital today as prices of rice basmati and few other bold grains firmed up on buying by stockists against restricted supplies from producing belts.
Traders said buying by stockists against tight supplies from producing belts mainly led to the rise in prices of rice basmati and a few other bold grains.
In the national capital, rice basmati common and Pusa-1121 variety moved up by Rs 100 each to Rs 5,400-5,900 and Rs 4,700-5,800 per quintal, respectively.

Other bold grains like bajra and maize rose by Rs 20 each to Rs 1,230-1,245 and Rs 1,440-1,445 per quintal, respectively.
Jowar yellow and white also ended higher by Rs 30 each to Rs 1,500-1,530 and Rs 2,530-2,630 per quintal, respectively.
