Prices of wheat and other grains strengthened up to Rs 30 per quintal at the wholesale market today on increased offtake by flour mills and stockists.

Traders said increased offtake by flour mills mainly kept wheat prices remain up.

Increased demand from consuming industries against limited arrivals from producing regions led to the rise in other grain prices, they said.

In the national capital, wheat dara (for mills) advanced by Rs 5 to Rs 1,580-1,585 per quintal. Atta chakki delivery followed suit and traded higher by a similar margin to Rs 1,585-1,590 per 90 kg.
