Select metals slide on subdued demand

Select base metals weakened by Rs 2 per kg at the non-ferrous market today following muted demand from consuming industries.

Traders said low demand from consuming industries attributed the fall in select base metals prices.

In the national capital, copper mixed scrap and nickel plate (4x4) were down by Rs 2 each to Rs 362 and Rs 832-837 per kg respectively.

Zinc ingot, lead ingot and lead imported were also traded lower by a similar margin to Rs 96-102, Rs 80 and Rs 86 per kg respectively.

Following are today's metal rates (in Rs per kg):

Zinc ingot Rs 96-102, Nickel plate (4x4) Rs 832-837, gun metal scrap Rs 227, Bell metal scrap Rs 229, copper mixed scrap Rs 362, chadri deshi Rs 295.
 

Lead ingot Rs 80, lead imported Rs 86, aluminium ingots Rs 154, aluminium sheet cutting Rs 150, aluminium wire scrap Rs 150 and aluminium utensils scrap Rs 148.
