Select pulses extend gains on rising demand

Select pulses led by kabli gram rose by up to Rs 300 per quintal at the wholesale pulses market today on persistent buying by stockists, driven by rising demand from retailers against tight stocks position on fall in supplies from producing regions.

Marketmen said continued buying by stockists to meet rising demand from retailers against tight stocks position on fall in supplies from producing regions mainly kept kabli gram and other pulses higher.

In the national capital, kabuli gram small variety gained the most by surging Rs 300 to Rs 7,500-9,000 per quintal.

Arhar and its dal dara variety rose further by Rs 200 each to Rs 9,300 and Rs 12,200-13,900 per quintal respectively.
 

Masoor small and bold also went up by Rs 100 each to Rs 6,050-6,350 and Rs 6,100-6,400 per quintal respectively. Its dal local and best quality traded higher by the same margin to Rs 6,600-7,100 and Rs 6,700-7,200 per quintal respectively.

In line with overall trend, moong and its dal chilka local moved up by Rs 100 each to Rs 6,300-6,900 and Rs 6,850-7,250 per quintal respectively. Its dal dhoya local and best quality enquired higher by a similar margin to Rs 7,250-7,750 and Rs 7,750-7,950 per quintal respectively.

Lobia too ended higher by Rs 200 to Rs 5,400-5,600 per quintal.

Masoor small Rs 6,050-6,350, bold Rs 6,100-6,400, Dal Masoor local Rs 6,600-7,100, best quality Rs 6,700-7,200, Malka local Rs 7,000-7,300, best Rs 7,100-7,400, Moth Rs 5,500-5,900, Arhar Rs 9,300, Dal Arhar Dara Rs 12,200-13,900.

Gram Rs 6,200-6,800, Gram dal (local) Rs 6,500-6,800, best quality Rs 6,950-7,050, Besan (35 kg), Shakti Bhog Rs 2,850,Rajdhani Rs 2,850, Rajma Chitra Rs 5,600-6,950, Kabuli Gram small Rs 7,500-9,000, Dabra Rs 2,700-2,800, Imported Rs 4,700-5,100, Lobia Rs 5,400-5,600, Peas white Rs 3,400-3,425 and green Rs 3,600-3,700.
