Select pulses fall on easing demand

Select pulses led by gram fell by up to Rs 300 per quintal at the wholesale pulses market on fall in demand from retailers.

Marketmen said besides easing demand from retailers at existing higher levels, adequate stocks position on increased supplies from producing belts mainly led to decline in gram and other pulses prices.

In the national capital, gram eased to Rs 4,600-5,100 against last close of Rs 4,850-5,300 per quintal. Its dal local and best quality were down by Rs 300 each to Rs 5,300- 5,700 and Rs 5,700-5,800 per quintal respectively. Kabuli gram small variety followed suit and lost Rs 200 to Rs 7,800-8,800 per quintal.
 

Masoor small and bold also drifted lower by Rs 3,850- 4,000 and Rs 3,900-4,100 per quintal. Its dal local and best quality enquired lower by Rs 200 each to Rs 4,000-4,500 and Rs 4,100-4,600 per quintal.

In line with overall trend, urad and its dal chilka local too fell by Rs 100 each to Rs 4,050-5,650 and Rs 5,100-5,200 per quintal respectively. Its dal best quality and dhoya traded lower by Rs 100 each to Rs 5,200-5,700 and Rs 5,600- 5,800 per quintal.

Masoor small Rs 3,850-4,000, bold Rs 3,950-4,100, Dal Masoor local Rs 4,000-4,500, best quality Rs 4,100-4,600, Malka local Rs 4,400-4,600, best Rs 4,500-4,800, Moth Rs 3,600-4,000, Arhar Rs 4,400 Dal Arhar Dara Rs 6,400-8,300.

Gram Rs 4,600-5,100, Gram dal (local) Rs 5,300-5,700, best quality Rs 5,700-5,800, Besan (35 kg), Shakti bhog Rs 2,300, Rajdhani Rs 2,300, Rajma Chitra Rs 6,000-8,300, Kabuli Gram small Rs 7,800-8,800, Dabra Rs 2,700-2,800, Imported Rs 4,700-5,100, Lobia Rs 4,000-4,200, Peas white Rs 2,650-2,675 and green Rs 2,700-2,800.
