Select pulses remain up on rising demand

Firm conditions continued to prevail on the wholesale pulses market today with select pulses rising further on the back of increased demand from stockists and retailers against considerable fall in supplies.

Marketmen said besides rising demand from dal mills and stockists, tight supplies on restricted arrivals in the market, supported the upside in select pulses prices.

In the national capital, rajmah chitra climbed to Rs 5,200-8,700 from previous level of Rs 5,000-8,500 per quintal. Moth shot up by Rs 300 to Rs 4,300-4,600, while arhar and its dal dara variety enquired higher by Rs 100 each to Rs 4,500-4,600 and Rs 5,700-6,000 per quintal, respectively.
 

Moong also moved up to Rs 6,000-7,000 against last close of Rs 5700-6900 per quintal. Its dal chilka local, dhoya local and best quality were also added another Rs 100 each to Rs 7,000-7,500, Rs 6,900-7,200 and Rs 7,700-7,800 per quintal, respectively.

Masoor small and bold rose by Rs 50 each to Rs 5,200-5,400 and Rs 5,200-5,500, while its dal local and best quality traded higher by Rs Rs 100 each to Rs 6,000-6,100 and Rs 6,100-6,200 per quintal, respectively.

Gram edged up to Rs 2,800-3,600 from previous close of Rs 2750-3,450 per quintal. Its dal local and best quality were moved up by Rs 100 each to Rs 3,550-3,750 and Rs 3,650-3,750 per quintal,respectively.

Besin shakti bhog and Rajdhani traded higher at Rs 1,400 per 35 bags, respectively from Rs 1,360.

Urad 5,400-5,800, Urad Chilka (local) 6,600-6,800, best 6,850-7,450, Dhoya 7,100-7,500, Moong 6,000-7,000, Dal Moong Chilka local 7,000-7,500, Moong Dhoya local 6,900-7,200 and best quality 7,700-7,800.

Masoor small 5,200-5,400, bold 5,200-5,500, Dal Masoor local 6,000-6,100, best quality 6,100-6,200, Malka local 5,700-6,000, best 5,900-6,000, Moth 4,300-4,600, Arhar 4,500-4,600, Dal Arhar Dara 5,700-6,000.

Gram 2,800-3,600, Gram Dal (local) 3,550-3,750, best quality 3,650-3,750, Besan (35 kg) Shakti bhog 1,400, Rajdhani 1,400, Rajmah Chitra 5,200-8,700, Kabli Gram small 3,800- 6,200, dabra 2,700-2,800, imported 4,700-5,100, Lobia 4,200- 5,800, Peas white 2,900-2,950 and green 2,900-3,050.
