Select pulses remain weak on low demand

Weak conditions continued unabated on the wholesale pulses market today, as prices of select pulses led by rajmah fell further up to Rs 100 per quintal, owing to slackened demand against higher supplies, marketmen said.

In the national capital, rajmah chitra remained under selling pressure and lost another Rs 100 at Rs 6,500-9,500 per quintal.

Gram followed suit and declined by Rs 50 to Rs 2,850-3,550 and its dal local and best quality traded lower by Rs 100 each to Rs 3,600-3,800 and Rs 3,700-3,800 per quintal respectively.

Ahrar and its dal dara variety declined by Rs 50 each to Rs 4,650-4,750 and Rs 6,200-6,400 per quintal respectively.
 

Following are today's pulses rates per quintal:

Urad 5,200-5,700, Urad Chilka (local) 6,400-6,600, best 6,650-7,250, Dhoya 6,900-7,300, Moong 6,100-7,400, Dal Moong Chilka local 7,200-7,700, Moong Dhoya local 7,100-7,400 and best quality 7,900-8,000.

Masoor small 5,300-5,500, bold 5,300-5,600, Dal Masoor local 6,100-6,200, best quality 6,200-6,300, Malka local 5,700-6,000, best 5,900-6,000, Moth 4,700-5,100, Arhar 4,650-4,750, Dal Arhar Dara 6,200-6,400.

Gram 2,850-3,550, Gram Dal (local) 3,600-3,800, best quality 3,700-3,800, Besan (35 kg) Shakti bhog 1,430, Rajdhani 1,430, Rajmah Chitra 6,500-9,500,Kabli Gram small 3,900-6,500, dabra 2,700-2,800, imported 4,700-5,100, Lobia 4,200-5,800, Peas white 2,950-3,000 and green 3,000-3,100.
