Select pulses led by kabli gram prices continued their slide with price falling by up to Rs 200 per quintal at the wholesale market today on tepid demand from retailers at existing higher levels against pick up in supplies.
However, urad and its dal found fresh buying support from stockists and finished higher.
Traders said fall in demand from retailers at current levels amid increased supplies in the market, largely supported by government's measures to curb rising prices mainly kept pressure on select pulses prices.
