The wholesale pulses market ended on a bearish note today as prices of select pulses drifted owing to slackened demand from stockists and retailers against adequate stocks position.
Marketmen said easing demand at prevailing levels against adequate stocks position mainly kept pressure on select pulses.
In the national capital, urad eased by Rs 200 to Rs 5,700-6,300 per quintal. Its dal chilka local, best quality and dhoya were down by Rs 200 each to Rs 7,000-7,200, Rs 7,200-7,800 and Rs 7,600-8,000 per quintal respectively.
Moong and its dal chilka local fell by Rs 100 each to Rs 7,200-7,900 and Rs 8,000-8,500 per quintal.
Moong dal dhoya local and best qaulity weakened by a similar margin to Rs 8,000-8,300 and Rs 8,800-8,900 per quintal respectively.
Malka local and best quality were enquired lower by Rs 200 each to Rs 7,000-7,300 and Rs 7,200-7,300 per quintal respectively.
Gram also moved down by Rs 50 to Rs 3,350-4,200 per quintal. Its dal local and best quality ended lower by Rs 100 each to Rs 3,800-4,000 and Rs 3,900-4,200 per quintal respectively.
On the other hand, arhar and its dal dara variety moved up by Rs 100 each to Rs 5,400-5,500 and Rs 6,750-7,050 per quintal respectively on selective buying.
