Prices of select pulses, led by urad, strengthened by up to Rs 100 per quintal at the wholesale market today in the national capital on paucity of stocks and restricted supplies from producing belts against surging demand.
Marketmen said rising demand against restricted arrivals from producing belts supported the rise in urad and few other pulses.
Lower output estimates due to unseasonal rains in producing regions further fuelled the uptrend, they said.
