Select pulses up on stockists buying

Select pulses led by moth rose up to Rs 500 per quintal on the wholesale pulses market today on stockists buying driven by rising demand against restricted supplies from producing belts.

Traders said stockists buying driven by rising demand against restricted supplies from producing belts mainly led to rise in select pulses.

In the national capital, moth climbed to Rs 4,800-5,200 from previous level of Rs 4,440-4,700 per quintal.

Arhar and its dal dara variety moved up by Rs 100 each to Rs 4,050-4,350 and Rs 5,750-5,950 per quintal, respectively.

Urad and its dal chilka local rose by Rs 150 and Rs 200 to Rs 3,950-4,750 and Rs 5,500-5,700 per quintal, respectively.
 

Its dal best quality and dhoya traded higher by Rs 200 each to Rs 5,700-6,300 and Rs 6,000-6,400 per quintal, respectively.

Moong surged to Rs 6,000-7,200 against last close of Rs 6,000-7,000 per quintal. Moong dal chilka local, dhoya local and dhoya best quality were up by Rs 200 each to Rs 7,100-7,500, Rs 7,300-7,400 and Rs 7900-8,000 per quintal, respectively.

Following are today's pulses rates per quintal:

Urad 3,950-4,750, Urad Chilka (local) 5,500-5,700, best 5,700-6,300, Dhoya 6,000-6,400, Moong 6,000-7,200, Dal Moong Chilka local 7,100-7,500, Moong Dhoya local 7,300-7,400 and best quality 7,900-8,000.

Masoor small 4,350-4,600, bold 4,550-4,650, Dal Masoor local 5,200-5,300, best quality 5,250-5,350, Malka local 5,100-5,200, best 5,300-5,400, Moth 4,800-5,200, Arhar 4,050-4,350, Dal Arhar Dara 5,750-5,950.

Gram 2,900-3,800, Gram Dal (local) 3,600-3,800, best quality 3,800-3,900, Besan (35 kg) Shakti bhog 1,380, Rajdhani 1,380, Rajmah Chitra 7,300-11,000, Kabli Gram small 3,750-5,750, dabra 2,700-2,800, imported 4,700-5,100, Lobia 4,200-5,800, Peas white 2,900-2,950 and green 3,000-3,100.
