Select spices gaines on sustained demand

Ginger, Copra alapuza and copra kozhikode gained at the spices market here today on sustained stockists as well as exporters demand.

Black pepper and copra rajapur Mumbai fell on selling owing to fresh arrivals from producing regions.

Copra office Alapuza, copra office Kozhikode rose by Rs 100 per kg each to Rs 9,700 and Rs 9,600 from saturday's closing level of Rs 9,600 respectively.

Ginger bleached and unbleached climbed by Rs 10 per kg each to Rs 210 and Rs 230 from saturday's closing level of Rs 200 and 220.

However, black pepper moved down by Rs 15 per kg to Rs 620/700 from overnight closing level of Rs 635/715.
 

Copra rajapur Mumbai dropped by Rs 500 per quintal to Rs 15,500 as against Rs 16,000 previously.

Meanwhile, copra edible mumbai closed unchanged at Rs 12,000 per quintal.

Black pepper (per kg) 620/700 (635/715), ginger bleached (per kg) 210 (200), ginger unbleached (per kg) 230 (220), copra office Alapuzha (per quintal) 9,700 (9,600), copra office Kozhikode (per quintal) 9,600 (9,500), copra Rajapur Mumbai (per quintal) 15,500 (16,000), copra edible Mumbai (per quintal) 12,000 (12,000).
