Self certificate mandatory for seeking ex-India leave:Pun govt

Punjab has made it mandatory for all government employees, seeking to leave India, to furnish self certificate with the application for the leave.

It is mandatory to furnish a self certificate by employee applying for ex-India leave to the effect that he/she or his/her family members have neither applied nor someone else has applied for them, nor they have obtained any foreign citizenship, dual citizenship, permanent residence, any visa other than tourist visa or any special status that is not ordinarily available to the citizen of India, an official spokesman said.

"If otherwise, full details with certified copies of relevant documents and permissions of the competent authority be furnished along with the leave application, he added.
