Angelina Jolie-directed World War II drama 'Unbroken', Oprah Winfrey-produced 'Selma' were largely overlooked while it was a total shut down for Tim Burton's 'Big Eyes' at the 87th Academy Awards nominations announced today.
Burton's real-life inspired 'Big Eyes' had to face the biggest disappointment as it failed to get even one nomination despite igniting hopes of garner a nomination with Amy Adams Golden Globe win.
David Oyelowo's performance as Martin Luther King Jr in 'Selma' was not nominated in the best actor category, marking the first time since 2000 that no people of colour were nominated in any acting categories.
