Seminar on Indian model of development and women

The role of women in Indian economy, global relevance of the country's family system and values and India's response towards feminist movement were some of the topics of discussion at a two-day seminar, which was today inaugurated by RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat.

Bhagwat will address tomorrow the seminar on Indian model of development and women which is being attended by 130 columnist from more than 10 states.

"Speakers expressed their opinion on the role of women in Indian economy, global relevance of Indian family system and values, India's response towards feminist movement among others," a press release by Vishwa Samvad Kendra said.
 

Mukul Kanitkar of Bhartiya Shikshak Mandal opened the discussion which was followed by speeches by columnists.

After the seminar, Bhagwat will leave for Jodhpur to attend RSS meetings from September 16 to 20.
