During the two-day seminar, "Reinforcing Value System in Indian Army", which was organised by the Army Management Service Board under the aegis of Army Training Command (ARTRAC), the speakers talked about identifying vulnerabilities and threats due to drastic decline in the moral, ethics and value system in our society, a press release from the academy said.

The speakers also discussed ways and means to ensure that the military remains strong, cohesive, efficient and capable of absorbing social changes and also maintain ethical conduct.

The seminar was a step designed to take a holistic look at the military culture, codes of conduct and find ways to guide or train leadership at all levels to meet impending challenges.

Seventeen delegates, including GOC-IN-C, ARTRAC, serving as well as retired Generals, Vice Admiral, IAS officer and professors spoke on the topics to bring forth the importance of morals, ethics, ethos and value system in the Indian Army.

Apart from them, 300 other army officers, ladies and the cadets of the Academy also attended the seminar.

At the end of the seminar, an institutionalised approach at the training level was formulated to build strong moral and ethical fibre among the trainees.
