Sen, Yadav, Bhatt win titles at sub-junior badminton

Sen defeated his statemate Vaibhav Chauhan in straight sets by 21-10 21-17 to bag the Under-13 boys singles title before the two combined together to clinch the doubles tiles resoundingly beating their rivals Krishna Prasad G and Satvik Sai Raj (Andhra Prades) by 21-17 21-8 in an one-sided match.

Bhatt claimed the under-13 girls singles title defeated Tanishka M. Of Andhra Pradesh in straight sets by 21-17 21-15 in the finals.

She later teamed up with another Karnataka player Mihula to win the under-13 girls doubles title defeating Akshita and Prashi Joshi (AP) by 21-17 21-8.

In Under-15 category, Andhra Pradesh's Rahul Yadav won the boys singles title defeating Kaniska M. Of his own state by 21-17 21-16 before he combined with Chirag Sen of Uttarakhand to bag the doubles title prevailing over Suril Verma (A.P) and Bodhit Joshi (Uttarakhand) in three-sets 21-14 20-22 21-17.

 

Riya Mukherjee won the under-15 girls singles title defeating Santoshi Hashini (AP) 21-9 21-9 in a lop-sided encounter, while the doubles title went to Kanika Kanwal (Delhi) and Sriyanshi Pardeshi (M.P) took away the doubles title.
