Newly-appointed state BJP chief Devendra Phadanvis today stressed that the alliance of Shiv Sena, RPI and BJP in Maharashtra would endure.
He was speaking to reporters during a visit to Palghar in the district.
Shiv Sena chief Uddhav Thackeray had earlier welcomed the defeat of "anti-Marathi" BJP government in Karnataka, the state with which Maharashtra has a border dispute.
When asked for a comment on this, Phadanvis said he was surprised by Uddhav's statement, as it was the JDS and Congress which were responsible for harassment of Marathi-speakers in border areas of Karnataka.
