Shiv Sena and Dogra Front today took out a protest march against Pakistan for frequent violations of the ceasefire along the Line of Control in Jammu and Kashmir.
On the 15th Anniversary of the Vijay Diwas, more than 150 activists led by Shiv Sena state unit chief Ashok Gupta took out a procession in Jammu city protesting against heavy shelling by the Pakistani rangers and violations of the ceasefire in the Poonch Sector.
Addressing the gathering, Gupta alleged that Pakistan only understands the language of bullets and they should be retaliated in the same manner. Accusing Pakistan of adopting double standard, Gupta said, "On one side secretary level talks are scheduled with Pakistan and on the other ceasefire violations continue to take place in Poonch and Jammu."
Gupta also demanded that a resolution be passed in Parliament, providing full power to Army Generals to deal with the ceasefire violations along the international border.
