Shiv Sena spokesperson and MLC Neelam Gorhe today said she received threat calls from an unidentified person and has filed a police complaint in this regard.
"I received a call around midnight of February 21 from an unknown number. The caller started abusing me, using filthy language and threatened to shoot me. I messaged the number to the Commissioner of Police, Rasmhi Shukla, and sought help," said Gorhe.
Gorhe said she also apprised Deven Bharti, Joint Commissioner of Police (Law and Order) of Mumbai, of the threat call.

"I then approached the Pune CP and registered a complaint and forwarded the copy of the same to Deven Bharti," she said.
Gorhe said she has apprised Shiv Sena president Uddhav Thackeray about the telephonic threats.
"Uddhavji told me the party is behind me and assured me of all support," Gorhe said.
Shukla told PTI that the police with the help of technical experts, are investigating the case, adding adequate police security has been provided to Gorhe.
