Opposition Congress today demanded that Shiv Sena name the ministers which it said were involved in the alleged "wrongdoing" in a project to install LED lights in 100 cities, including Mumbai, at a cost of Rs 25,000 crore to Rs 30,000 crore.

"Sena must name the two ministers who it suspects to be involved in the LED scam, and they must be booked forthwith," former Congress MP Sanjay Nirupam said here.

BJP should take the allegations seriously as they came from its ally, he added.

Nirupam also charged that certain firms which gave huge donations to the Bharatiya Janata Party were involved in this "scam".

In an article in Sena mouthpiece 'Saamana' yesterday, party spokesperson and MP Sanjay Raut wrote that Union Minister Piyush Goyal is instrumental in "the business of installing LED lights in the country at a cost of Rs 25,000 crore to Rs 30,000 crore" and "if a probe is ordered, at least two (BJP) ministers will lose the beacons on their vehicles.
