"The morcha will be taken to the district collector's office in suburban Bandra tomorrow to demand the extension of cable TV digitisation," Shiv Sena MLC Anil Parab said in a meeting organised by cable operators.

He also said that cable operators were not against digitisation, but have sought extension of deadline to December 31.

"We completed 35-40 per cent installation of digital set top boxes by March and by October-end we completed 75-80 per cent. We still have to reach out to some 6-7 lakh cable TV consumers," he said.

The Sena leader also claim that the situation was similar in other metros like Delhi and Kolkata.

"A representation in this regard will be handed over to the district collector. If the government fails to take a decision even after that, we will take to the streets, he said.
