To increase literacy level in the state, Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot today asked parents to ensure that their children attended school.

Rajasthan government has taken several steps to boost education and develop the state as an education hub, he said in a function at Ajmer.

The benefits of the efforts made by the state government would reach the students only if their parents are aware about the details of each scheme, Gehlot said.

"Make a commitment that no child will be without education in the state," he said, adding collective efforts will deliver positive results.

The Chief Minister said several other schemes in various sectors including social security sector, health and medical have been launched by the state government which have benefited a large number of people.

On the occasion Gehlot distributed laptops to meritorious students and handed over cheques of Rs 2,500 to girls, who took admission in Class IX in government schools, for purchasing cycle.
