Yet another senior functionary of the TTV Dhinakaran-led Amma Makkal Munnetra Kazhagam (AMMK) quit the party and joined the ruling AIADMK on Monday.

AMMK Organisation Secretary Siva Rajamanickam quit the party and enlisted himself as a primary member of the AIADMK after calling on Chief Minister K Palaniswami, a party release here said.

Palaniswami is also the AIADMK Joint Coordinator while Deputy Chief Minister O Panneerselvam is the Coordinator.

Dhinakaran's AMMK, which fared poorly in the April 18 Lok Sabha polls in the state, has been facing defections ever since, with many senior functionaries and leaders close to Dhinakaran, himself an MLA, parting ways with him.

Many including former state Minister Esakki Subbiah have returned to the AIADMK fold, even as three dissident ruling party MLAs who had been siding with Dhinakaran, also came back.
