Senior Congress leader and ex-minister Ram Kishan Verma dead

Former Rajasthan minister and senior Congress leader Ram Kishan Verma passed away today at a private hospital here, hospital sources said.

He was 77.

Verma, who was admitted to Durlabhji Hospital on Tuesday, breathed his last today afternoon, they said.

He held various portfolios during his term as MLA from Ramganj Mandi.

Congress leaders Ashok Gehlot and CP Joshi have expressed grief over the sudden demise of Verma.

Deeply saddened to about the passing away of senior Congress leader. My heartfelt condolences to his family members. May god give them strength to bear the loss. May his soul rest in peace, Gehlot said in a statement.

 

Senior Congress leader Joshi took to twitter to condole the death.

I am shocked and moved by passing away of senior leader of Congress. His demise is an irreparable loss to the society. May god give courage to the family to bear the loss, he tweeted.
