A case under section 354 of the IPC has been lodged against the IAS officer by the girl hailing from Delhi, GRP sources said.
The girl has alleged in the FIR that the officer travelling with her in Lucknow Mail from Delhi to Lucknow had misbehaved and tried to molest her last night, the sources said.
The matter was being investigated, they said.
The officer is presently posted in the technical education department in Lucknow.
