Senior journalist Brajnandan passes away

Senior journalist Brajnandan died here today after a brief illness, family sources said.

He was 74, and is survived by his wife, two sons and a daughter.

The veteran scribe was suffering from fever since yesterday and his condition deteriorated further today, they said, adding, he died while being taken to a nearby hospital.

Bihar Governor Satya Pal Malik, Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and RJD chief Lalu Prasad were among those who expressed grief over the sudden demise of Brajnandan.

He was associated with a Hindi daily in Patna, besides a news agency.
