Senior journalist Sharadrao P Burkule passes away

Senior journalist and former president of Nashik Journalists Association and press club, Sharadrao P Burkule died of a heart attack today.

He was 82.

Burkule suffered a cardiac arrest at around 4:00 am at his residence here, family members said.

He is survived by wife, a son and a daughter. Large number of people, especially from media fraternity attended the funeral this afternoon.

Burkule had worked as reporter in dailies, Maharashtra Times and Navshakti for many years and was currently serving as editor of a weekly newspaper, Lokjyoti. He was associated with various social organisations and has been a teacher as well.
