Senior officials of the police and the divisional administration held a review meeting about poll preparedness in the Kishtwar district today.
To ensure hassle free polls in the far-flung and inaccessible areas of Kishtwar district, a team of senior officials of the police and the divisional administration held the meeting after visiting these poll bound areas.
"To ensure free and fair assembly elections in far-flung and inaccessible areas of Warwan, Marwah and Dachhan of Kishtwar district, the Divisional Commissioner Jammu Shantmanu accompanied by IGP Jammu Rajesh Kumar and District Development Commissioner Kishtwar Mohammad Javed visited these remote areas today," an official spokesman said.

"The official listened to all the grievances and assured the public that all their genuine problems will be addressed. He issued on the spot instructions to the officials present there regarding the problems and issues of people and directed them to immediately take necessary steps to mitigate their problems," the spokesman said.
The divisional commissioner also reviewed the polling arrangements in these remote areas.
The Inspector General of Police took a detailed review of security arrangements in these areas.
"He interacted with police and paramilitary forces deployed in these areas and took stock of further deployment of forces. The transport plan was also discussed in detail," the spokesman said.
