A senior inspector of police and a police naik, both attached to Nhava Sheva police station in Navi Mumbai, were arrested while accepting a bribe of Rs 80,000 from a builder, anti-corruption bureau said here.
Deputy Superintendent of Police Jairaj Chapria said that the accused had demanded Rs one lakh from the builder for not taking acting against him over a building on Dronagiri road.
The police station had received a complaint about the building being in a dangerous condition.

After the builder approached it, ACB set a trap and arrested inspector Nivrutti N Kokre and naik Machindra D Koli this evening.
