A senior RJD leader and former minister of undivided Bihar, Ramchandra Chandrawani today announced quitting the party, alleging it has diverted from its ideology of social justice.

A two-time MLA from Bisrampur Assembly constituency (1995 and 2005), Chandrawani announced his decision at a press conference here.

RJD has become a pocket organisation of its supremo Laloo Prasad Yadav and diverted from its ideology of social justice, Chandrawani alleged.

He accused the trio of Jharkhand unit chief of the party Girinath Singh, a minister in the Hemant Soren-led cabinet, Anapurna Devi and MLA Sanjay Kumar Singh Yadav for ruining the party in Jharkhand.

Asked about the possibility of him joining the BJP, Chandrawani said he would consult with his supporters before taking a final decision in this regard.
