A senior transport department officer was today suspended for allegedly beating a truck driver and snatching Rs 3,000 from him here.
Additional Road Transport Officer (ARTO) Arjun Singh was suspended by Transport Minister Durga Prasad Yadav and has been attached to Transport Commissioner officer, an official release said.
Transport Commissioner BS Bhullar said that Singh was suspended on charges of beating a truck driver on April 23 night and snatching Rs 3,000 from him here.
