Sensex opens 41 points higher

The Sensex, which gained 371 points in the last two trading sessions, advanced by 40.85, or 0.23 per cent, to 17,724.58 in first five minutes of trading.

Similarly, the wide-based National Stock Exchange Nifty index edged up 8.85 points, or 0.17 per cent, at 5,350.95.

The both the stocks exchanges were open for a special 90-minutes to test their disaster recovery site.
