A separate agriculture budget will be presented by BJP it it comes to power at the Centre after the coming Lok Sabha polls, party's National agriculture wing secretary, Mohan Master said here today.
Speaking to reporters,he blamed the UPA led government at the Centre with not taking any steps to protect interests of farmers', who frequently resort to suicide. BJP can change the situation for their benefit he said and pointed to the agriculture budget presented by former Karnataka Chief Minister B S Yedyyurappa 'which worked wonders in that state."
The UPA government had also failed to implement the recommendations of the Swaminathan committee report as also that of a committee of' five Chief Ministers, headed by Haryana Chief Minister Bhupinbder Singh Hooda.

He also requested Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Jayalalithaa to declare some districts in the state as drought hit as the monsoons had failed in those areas.
Mohan also demanded an increase in the Minimum Support Price for sugarcane to Rs 4,000 and milk procurement prices in Tamil Nadu.
