Managing Director of Maharashtra Tourism Development Corporation Jagdish Patil said here that the committee, with the stakeholders in Mumbai being represented on it, will prepare separate plans for the city and its suburbs.

"Mumbai is the only metro in the world which has wildlife, seashore, mangroves and migratory birds," he said.

Patil said the plan will be ready in a month's time. From February 1, BEST will start special CNG buses at the Sanjay Gandhi National Park for tourists. Ten air-conditioned buses have been purchased for this purpose.

The forest department has also agreed to hand over three guest houses in the national park to the MTDC for renovation and upgradation.

Meanwhile, Tourism Minister Chhagan Bhujbal said techno-feasibility report on the Seaworld project in Sindhudurg district has been submitted to the cabinet. An interim detailed project report (DPR) is expected in 15 days.

"I held a meeting with the technical consultants from London recently," he said. The project will be operationalised on PPP basis.

Bhujbal also said that master plan of film-city, to promote Bollywood tourism, has been almost finalised and will be made public after approval of the Film City Corporation.
