South Eastern Railway has achieved the best ever freight loading on a single day on March 20, surpassing previous records.
On this day, the zonal railway loaded 7,191 wagons surpassing its previous record of loading of 6,753 wagons achieved on February 22, 2013, SER sources said here today.
The total number of rakes loaded on the day included 69 mineral rakes and 17 coal rakes.

The average loading of wagons per day during the current financial year upto March 20 has been 5,490.4 as against 5,136.2 wagons achieved during the corresponding period of last year, the sources added.
