Sesa (Goa) sails into semi-final

Sesa (Goa) sailed into the semi-final defeating Assam Regiment Centre (Shillong) by a sole first half goal in the 2nd All India Prize Money Football Championship for Bihar Cup here today.

The lone goal came in the 25th minute when centre forward Yogesh Kadam dogged past two deffenders and placed the ball into net sharply. The first half ended 1-0.

In the second half, trailing by one goal Assam Regiment combined well and attacked the opponent goal mouth frequently but Sesa's custodian Thockhom Singh was rock solid under the bar.

Centre forward of Assam Regiment C Lal Malswma, Francis and L Rosendro missed the easy sitter thrice. Goalkeeper Thockhom Singh thwarted their efforts by saving goals beautifully.
 

Sesa Goa is the first time to qualify for semi-final line up.
