Prices of sesame and cottonseed oils fell by Rs 50 per quintal at the wholesale market today largely dragged down by sluggish demand from retailers coupled with sufficient stocks.
However, other edible and non-edible oils moved in a narrow range in scattered deals and settled around previous levels.
Traders said subdued demand from retailers against adequate stocks on higher supplies from producing belts mainly kept pressure on select edible oil prices.
