Sesame oil eases on subdued demand

Sesame mill delivery oil eased by Rs 50 per quintal in an otherwise steady wholesale oil and oilseeds market today.

However, other edible and non-edible oils continued to move in a narrow range in scattered deals and settled around previous levels.

Traders said slackened demand against sufficient supplies mainly led to decline in sesame oil prices.

In the national capital, sesame mill delivery oil shed Rs 50 to Rs 11,600 per quintal.

The following were today's quotations per quintal:

Oilseeds: Mustardseed 2,950-3,050 and Groundnut Seed 2,150-2,900.

Vanaspati Ghee (15-litre tin) 1,120-1,340.

Edible oils: Groundnut Mill Delivery (Gujarat) 7,600, Groundnut Solvent Refined (per tin) 1,900-1,950, Mustard expeller (Dadri) 7,500, Mustard Pakki Ghani (per tin) 1,290-1,370,
 

Mustard Kachi Ghani (per tin) 1,375-1,475,Sunflower 6,300, Sesame Mill Delivery 11,600, Soybean Refined Mill Delivery (Indore) 7,500, Soyabean Degum (Kandla) 7,250,Crude Palm Oil (Ex-Kandla) 5,600, Cottonseed Mill Delivery (Haryana) 6,200, Palmolein (RBD) Rs 6,700, Palmolein (Kandla) 6,350, Rice Bran (phy) 3,800 and Coconut (per tin) 1,900-1,950.

Non-edible oils: Linseed 7,550, Mahuwa 4,000, Castor 9,550-9,650, Neem 5,350-5,450, Rice Bran 3,150-3,250 and Palm Fatty 3,200-3,300.

Oilcakes: Groundnut Dehusk 800-850, Sesame 950-1,150, Mustard (New) 1,000-1,025, Mustard 1,200-1,210 and Cottonseed 1,075-1,175.
