A local court today awarded life imprisonment to seven persons in the kidnapping and murder of a person three years ago.
District and Sessions Court judge Krishna Gopal Dwivedi also ordered them to pay a penalty of Rs 25,000 each, failing which they would have to undergo an additional year in jial.
The seven had kidnapped a fellow villager of Malhipur Vishnupur Chand village on December 9, 2012, who was later found murdered.
The murdered man's father had lodged an FIR with Barauni police station in connection with it.
