With the arrest of seven persons, police today claimed to have busted a gang of gamblers active in the district.
Acting on a tip-off, a team of officials conducted raids at a gambling den in Loni area late last night and arrested seven persons and seized Rs 5,640, playing cards from their possession, a police officer said.
The accused have been identified as Babloo, Krishna, Sandeep, Rampal, Tejbeer, Devendra and Raju, all aged between 26 and 33 years.
The accused are being interrogated about their accomplices, a senior police official said.
